Pathfinders Club "Waldorf Wildcats"
The Pathfinders Club at Waldorf SDA is a great resource for the youth in our church. Pathfinders offer a wide range of activities that allow our youth to learn about themselves, the world around them and more importantly, their Creator.
Mat. 22:37-40 (NIV) says: 37 Jesus replied: “ ‘Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.’ 38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ 40 All the Law and the Prophets hang on these two commandments.”
After learning to love God, learning to love others is the second purpose of our life. Here at Waldorf SDA we see our small group ministry as a way to facilitate this second purpose. The goal is to see everyone connected in a loving relationship with others within our church fellowship. If indeed, as stated in the passage above, relationships, not achievements or the acquisition of things are what matters most in life, why is it that the time spent nurturing relationships are often the first casualties of a busy schedule? Often it is because we fail to deliberately schedule this time into our schedules. Being a part of a Waldorf small group that meets regularly every week or every other week directly addresses this concern. Our small groups enhance the spiritual health of our church by providing a framework for developing deeper relationships with each other while simultaneously deepening our relationship with Christ.
