Announcements

1. Youth Small Group: The group is opening up to youth ages 12 and up. This change will be for the spring and summer months only. If you are interested, please see Justin Reid or Jerome Monticquee. The group's next outing is tomorrow, Apr. 28th after 2nd service.

2. Breakfast Fundraiser: Sunday, May 6th, in the Fellowship Hall at 8:30 a.m. Enjoy a pancake breakfast with all of the trimmings for only $5 per plate. Donations above the $5 minimum are appreciated. Monies raised will go towards helping the Pathfinder Club go camping this summer. Please see Rich Bennett for more information.

3. VBS volunteer meeting: If you would like to volunteer your time for this year's VBS program (July 15th-19th), please plan to attend the meeting on Sunday, May 6th at 6:00 p.m.

4. Youth Day: May 12th; The theme is "I AM." We are asking all of the youth/children to draw pictures of what "I AM" means to them. All pictures should be on a letter size paper (8 1/2" x 11"). Further details are in the foyer.

5. Father's Day program: AYS will have a Father's Day program on Sabbath, June 2nd at 5:15 p.m. We are requesting all of the women to please send pictures of your husbands spending time with their children. You can either attach them to an e-mail or give them to Devona Monticquee or myself. Peter Kelly will be available during select Sabbaths to take pictures as well.

6. Camp Meeting: June 12th - June 16th at Highland View Academy in Hagerstown, MD. Please see the following website for information about how to register: http://www.ccosda.org/article/58/ministries/camp-meeting. All ages are welcome to attend.

7. Family Pool Party: Saturday, July 7th from 9:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. at the Fairway Village Neighborhood Pool, located at Sheffield Circle, Waldorf 20602. Cost is $5 per person with a family maximum of $25. All monies need to be paid prior to the event. Please make checks payable to Waldorf SDA and write "Pool Party" in the memo section. Ladies are requested to wear one-piece bathing suits and swim trunks for men. The sign-up sheet will be on the bulletin board in the foyer. Please see Marcel or Pam Westney for more information.

8. Communion: Sabbath, July 21st.

9. Guess Who's Coming To Dinner: This event is scheduled for Sabbath, Aug. 4th. There will be two sign up sheets posted soon. One for hosts and one for guests. If you would like to be a host, you will be notified of how many people will be coming for dinner and any food restrictions they may have. If you would like to be a guest, you will only be given the address of your host. Neither host nor visitor will know who they will be visiting with that evening until dinner time! This is a great way for our church family to visit with others that maybe you've not had a chance to get to know yet.

10.Family Beach Day: This event is tentatively scheduled for Sunday, Aug. 5th. Place and cost will be announced at a later time.
